Dr. Bradley Kappel
Dr. Bradley Kappel, D.C., CCSP
Founder, Caribbean Chiropractic Center
Originally from North Dakota, Dr. Bradley Kappel has called the U.S. Virgin Islands home for more than 25 years. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota and began practicing on St. Thomas in 2001. In 2005, he founded Caribbean Chiropractic Center.
Dr. Kappel first discovered chiropractic as a teenager and experienced firsthand its benefits for health and athletic performance. That experience ultimately inspired him to pursue chiropractic as a career.
A Board-Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), Dr. Kappel has a particular interest in sports chiropractic, injury recovery, exercise rehabilitation, and helping patients stay active throughout every stage of life. As an avid runner and lifelong athlete, he brings a practical understanding of movement, performance, and injury prevention to his patient care.
His approach combines chiropractic care with exercise, mobility, strength, and practical lifestyle strategies. He believes that long-term health is strongly influenced by our daily habits—including movement, nutrition, exercise, recovery, and mental well-being.
Dr. Kappel has also been active in the Virgin Islands athletic community for many years. He continues to coach cross country and track & field at the Virgin Islands Montessori School & Peter Gruber International Academy. He was one of the founding members of the M2M Road Race and recently served as the race director.
Dr. Kappel is married to his wife, Tiarra, and they have two children. Their son, Teagan, is a recent college graduate beginning his career here on St. Thomas, while their daughter, Sofie, is attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she is pursuing studies in health sciences and biology.
Outside the office, Dr. Kappel enjoys running, hiking, traveling, coaching, gardening, outdoor projects.
Dr Kappel served in both the North Dakota and Minnesota Army National Guard for nine years, serving as a combat medic.
His philosophy is simple: Move well, stay active, and keep doing the things you love.
